"If you're worried about background apps consuming battery, and seeing how quickly they're loading in the background, it's reasonable to believe they won't interrupt execution.
"But it didn't really work. The RAM it was actually using was reclaimed by the system and it actually stopped working and immediately came back to life."
You can check in Settings that the app is abusing the permission to run in the background.
